Parking Guide

Street Parking

Street parking around the hotel is available on a first come first serve basis.  Some of the spots are metered and some are unmetered.  But, all the spots have a maximum time limit of 2 to 4 hours per car during the day.  In the evening however, parking in front of the hotel becomes free and cars can park overnight but must move in the morning.

*Be aware*  Parking is first come, first serve.  As this area is very busy in the evenings, especially weekend evenings, finding street parking can be very challenging.

The daytime parking limits in Washington DC vary street by street, and even vary by which side of the street a car is on.

(1) For example, directly across the street from the hotel, the street parking is metered.  The meters are active from 9 AM - 6:30 PM for $2/hr Monday-Saturday.  These meters have a 2 or 4 hour maximum time limit per car, even if you pay for more time.  After 6:30pm, cars can park overnight and do not have to pay the meter until 9AM the following morning.

(2) For example, directly in front of the hotel, the street parking is not metered, but there is a two hour maximum parking time limit per car between 7:00 am and 8:00pm Monday through Saturday.  After 8:00pm, cars can park overnight and must move by 7:00am again the next morning. On Sunday, there are no limits.

The garage charges approximately $22/overnight and $17/overnight if you park before 8AM.

On the weekends it is $3 more to park overnight. The overnight rates end at 7AM, sharp. Therefore If you park overnight, after 7AM the garage starts charging by the hour again.  If you do not want to pay extra, you'll have to move your car before 7AM to avoid paying more than the overnight rate.
